About me
Hello, I’m Amanda,
I’ve always lived and breathed design and art. In primary school, I was commissioned by fellow students to design the title pages of their exercise books. My payment? A chocolate Paddle Pop. From such an auspicious foundation, I went on to study graphic design at university in Wagga Wagga — yes, for real, they named it twice — in regional NSW.
The colours of the surrounding bushland and river gums stayed with me, a wonderful contrast to growing up in Kiama on the NSW South Coast.
These days, I’m happily painting away in my studio in Surry Hills, Sydney. I paint birds, flowers, cocktails and the everyday things that catch my eye — little moments of colour, character and joy.
My work is about celebrating those simple things that make us smile, and sharing a little of that joy through painting.
